Sceneries never seen before...
“When we are touched by the beauty of all things, we feel a deep joy within our hearts. Especially when we meet someone and come to understand what they think, feel, and believe — in those moments, we discover their unique perspective on life and see one of the truest forms of beauty with our inner eyes. I cherish these moments deeply.I almost never paint what I see exactly as it appears to my eyes. My passion lies in expressing the beauty and stories I see through my heart's eye, and sharing them with you in a form you can see and feel.
It brings me the greatest joy to share with others a scenery that feels both new and nostalgic — a landscape they have never seen before.
I hope that when you encounter my works, the stories hidden within each piece will continue to grow, evolving and living on together with you.”
In 2014, when her mentor fell seriously ill, she remembered how he often said, “I love your bear paintings.” Only to encourage him, she began working with oil paints for the first time. (He later recovered.) By the time she completed her first piece, she had completely fallen in love with oil painting and held her first solo exhibition in Tokyo in 2015.
After that, she began to wonder, “I love painting, but what is it truly for? Is it just for my own satisfaction, or does it hold meaning beyond myself?” With these doubts, she stepped away from painting until 2019. Eventually, she realized that painting was an essential form of self-expression for her — a time of prayer and reflection that she needed in her life.
Wanting to share the feelings of hope and healing that painting brings her, she held a solo exhibition in Tokyo and the U.S. She now shares her latest works and updates on her Instagram.
Her works are painted delicately yet boldly, guided by flexible ideas and a free spirit. The butterflies that often appear in her paintings symbolize resurrection, beauty, and transformation. Their graceful dance represents joy and the lightness of being.
